Meet Steven Babbitt Transmission Specialist

We at B & L Transmissions, Inc. work on the transmissions of all makes and models of cars, trucks, vans, SUVs and motor homes.  Foreign made or domestic, we have the tools and expertise to handle rear-wheel, four-wheel or all-wheel drive vehicles. We keep up-to-date with the latest technology and have enough experience to work on older rigs. Call us today. Drop by your rig. Or, we'll come and get you and tow your car in.

Can We Tow Your Car?

Got a call today from a lady who's transmission was shot.  She needed her car towed so we could take a look at it and fix it.  Do we have a tow truck?  Yep got that!

B&L Transmissions offers free local towing with transmission services to our shop in Medford.  Just one of the extra services we can provide to our customers to make your life a little easier.

Give us a call and we'll take care of you - and your car!

Does B&L Transmissions Sell Transmissions?

Got a Facebook question today - Does B&L Transmissions sell transmissions?  The short answer is not really and yes that is the business we are in.  It depends what you are really asking:  we install them, we will fix them, rebuild them, and we will diagnose them, but we don't generally sell them to the public to take home and install themselves.

It's less expensive to rebuild your transmission than to purchase one in most cases.  That's because you are paying only for what is wrong, not for everything.  And the shipping costs can be quite high because they are so heavy. B&L Transmissions can diagnose what is wrong with your transmission and provide you with a written estimate on the cost to fix it.

If you really need one and you live locally (Southern Oregon area) it's a long shot but we might be able to help you out - we would rather have you bring the vehicle in and have it diagnosed, as used transmissions not installed by B&L Transmissions cannot be returned or guaranteed.  And remember taking it home and installing yourself will more than likely void any warranty because we didn't install it. If you bring it to us you get a 12,000 mile/12 month (whichever is first) warranty on our work, and the parts too.

We'll do our best based on noises or leaks, and can even tow your car to our shop if necessary.  Give us a call in Medford at 541-779-2921 and let us know what your transmission is doing.  Or go to our Facebook page and post your questions there.
